Trapani is a working port, not a resort beach. The famous sandy beach at San Vito Lo Capo and the Zingaro reserve are separate day trips.

Trapani is the western-Sicily gateway to Favignana and Levanzo, the working salt pans and hilltop Erice. Its strongest bookable products are full-day Egadi cruises, salt tours, food experiences and trips around the province.
Many do, from Trapani harbour, but the same catalogue also contains boats starting in Marsala or on Favignana. Check the first meeting point. Organised cruises usually take a full day; ferries are the independent alternative.
No. Trapani has urban waterfronts and nearby shore, but San Vito Lo Capo’s broad sandy beach and the coves of the Zingaro reserve are separate destinations roughly an hour away by road, depending on traffic.
The airport bus to the port area takes about 40 minutes; a taxi is usually around 25–30 minutes. Palermo Airport has a direct bus connection to Trapani of about 1 hour 10 minutes. Always check the current timetable.
Erice can be reached independently via the cable-car area or by road. Segesta is inland and needs road transport. A combined tour is convenient, but offers beginning in Palermo are not Trapani departures.
